The unique patented design of the "tri-shear" cutting mechanism prevents braided lines, mono and stranded cable from fraying. This keeps the line and cable intact and allows an easy and sure fit into a cable crimp. It does not leave any strands sticking out which minimizes the risk of injury to your hands. The patented design allows quick release of a fish by sliding the cutting barrel down the line to the cutting tip without handling the line.
The "tri-shear" body is made of an aircraft quality 6061 billet (block) aluminum.
Internal hardware is made of durable corrosion resistant 303 stainless steel for fresh or salt water use.
Cuts all brands of Kevlar and Spectra lines from 10 lb. to 200 lb. test and up.
Cuts single strand wire and stranded cable up to 240 lb. test.
Cuts Mono fishing line from 2 lb. to 300 lb. test.
Cuts nylon line up to 1/16"
