What to bring:
Everyone must have a camp site. YOU MUST Call and get a camp site unless Tommy has you down for one of his, We no longer camp on Scout Island. We have secured the eating pavilion for our main dinner Saturday night.
Bring the usual camping accessories,
flashlights batteries, coolers, ice, drinks, chairs, book-of-jokes, scary
stories, tent, Maybe a small table, fishing tackle, breakfast, lunch, snacks,
beverages (lots of drinks) and anything else you can think of that would be fun.
This is a great location for windsurfing or surfing too. The primary meal
(Saturday night) is taken care of with the fee, You should bring your own drink and a drink for your son to the dinner, all other meals should be
brought and stored in your coolers. Tommy and Pete will donate custom Fishing
Headquarters T-shirts for the everyone again this year.
What about my boat:
This location will be a great place to bring your boat, dingy, windsurfer
and surfboard. There is a boat ramp at
the facility and if you get a campsite on the water, you can pull your boat practically right up to
your tent. Fishing should be good for trout, redfish, flounder, pompano,
bluefish and snook. Bring
appropriate tackle and anchor lines.
What's the cost?
Very little, the fee includes, the dinner Saturday Night, rental of the dinner pavillion and tee shirts. Last year that came out to about $35 a person/kid. This year the cost
will be $35 per person/kid. Please, Tommy and his helpers have lots of hours into this and are happy to put this all together but are
hoping everyone pre-pays to minimize out-of-pocket and confusion
at actual event.
How do I register:
First here is the website for Longpoint Campground Longpoint
CALL 321-952-4532 and get a Campsite then you must RSVP on line
From October 1st to November 1,
just click the registration link at the bottom of this
page, and send a check for $35 per person and shirt sizes to
Tommy
VERY IMPORTANT RULES:
Tommy has reserved the dinner pavillion for 200 people. This is a first-come-first-served
basis until we reach 200 confirmed and paid people. We are
sorry, but we have to turn anyone over 200 away. Long Point
Park Campground gates open at 6:00 am and close at 10:00 pm.
Glass bottles are not allowed in the park. Do not bring
paint ball equipment or sling shots. When you arrive,
indicate you are with the Fishing Headquarters group.

Sunday
Enjoy the morning with your son, fish, cook breakfast,
surf or whatever you want. Almost everyone will be packed up
by noon. Please tell all sons that they must help with
clean up. We get this campsite every year because we leave
the campground cleaner than is was when we arrived.
Your Campsite must be spotless when you leave and all fires
must be out. Dumpsters are located by the bath
house.
